ICSP Catholic Communities

Giving & Tithing

As parishioners, we support our church communities in donating our time, talent and treasure to enrich the lives of everyone.

General Offertory

GENERAL OFFERTORY
The Offertory, or Collection, at Mass is an integral part of the Sunday liturgy, not just because it is the primary means by which the parish receives financial support from the parishioners, but because it is also an expression of our gratitude to God for the blessings.

He has given us to return a portion of them back to Him for use by His Church.

Holy Day Collection

HOLY DAY COLLECTION
The Offertory, or Collection, on Holy Days is an integral part of the liturgy because it is an expression of our gratitude to God for the blessings He has given us during Feasts and Holy Days that we are celebrating. It also assists with the additional expenses that are incurred by the parish during these “busier” seasons.

Mission Statement

St. Patrick’s Church is a faith community inspired by St. Patrick to pray and work together to serve God, those in need, and each other.

About This Cause

St. Patrick’s Church of Erin Prairie is a ‘quaint’ country church, seated amidst the lush farmlands of St. Croix County, WI. It is one of the founding parishes of the Diocese of Superior. The Parish was built on the Faith and Hope of Irish immigrants, and has survived many challenges over the years. This day finds it a thriving community of Faith and Fellowship.

ICSP CHURCHES MIGRATE FROM VANCO TO PUSHPAY
A Shift in Giving Platforms

As we are always seeking ways to be more efficient in our parishes, the ICSP Catholic Communities are transitioning from the Vanco Giving Platform to PushPay. This move reflects the evolving needs of our churches and programs within, to engage their members and manage donations more effectively. Here’s a breakdown of the key factors driving this migration:

Reasons for Migration

  • Enhanced User Experience: PushPay is known for its user-friendly interface, which can lead to increased online adoption among church members.
  • Mobile-Focused Giving: PushPay emphasizes mobile giving, aligning with the increasing prevalence of mobile devices and user preferences.
  • Comprehensive Features: PushPay is part of ParishStaq, a platform that offers a suite of tools beyond basic giving, such as church management software (ChMS), member engagement features, and communication tools which will be rolling out in intervals over the year 2025.
  • Streamlined workflows: PushPay can integrate with accounting software to increase efficiency.
  • Increased efficiency: PushPay can increase efficiency for both parishioners and parish staff.
  • Special campaigns: PushPay allows special campaigns.
  • Event payments: PushPay allows quick payment for parish events.
  • Predictable funds: PushPay enables funds to be accounted for in a more predictable way, and Church staff will be setting up times for after mass to help our parishioners migrate to the new platform effectively.  As always, you can also stop into the church office during our normal working hours for staff assistance.

In conclusion, the migration from Vanco to PushPay represents a strategic move for our ICSP Catholic Community. By leveraging PushPay’s advanced features and mobile-centric approach, our churches aim to enhance the giving experience, boost member engagement, and streamline our operations.

Is online giving really necessary for our Parish?
Although the offertory basket will continue, it is important that as a church we prepare for the future, as well as, accommodate those parishioners who pay the majority of their bills already from the convenience of their home computer. Many of our younger parishioners do not even have a check book. In an era of growing online banking, as a church we don’t want to be left behind by people who don’t use checks.

Can I still donate using weekly envelopes?
Absolutely! Although online giving replaces the need for weekly envelopes, donating through PushPay is not mandatory for all parishioners. We understand that not all parishioners are comfortable using a computer. We are thankful to receive your contributions anyway you want to give it to us.

Which payment methods are accepted?
We allow contributions from checking accounts, savings accounts, debit cards, and major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Do I receive a receipt for my donations?
Yes, all contributors enrolled with Pushpay can elect to receive receipts via e-mail.

How can I get help getting started?
Not a problem! Call the ICSP Business Office at (715) 246-4652 or stop by and we will assist you.

Is PushPay safe?
Yes. PushPay is certified with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS) as a Level 1 Service Provider. No on in the parishes has access to your credit card or bank account information that you provide.

How do I change my personal information such as my bank account number, mailing address, or donation amount?
You can make these changes by yourself in Pushpay, or by calling the ICSP Business Office at (715) 246-4652. You can plan your contributions for the entire year—or you can change you donation amount online whenever you like.
